Live At Domenica’s

Written by: Karla Chisholm

These words set the tone for Karla Chisholm’s debut jazz release “Live at Domenica’s”. Chisholm is joined by long time guitarist Michael Raitzyk. Raitzyk’s two amp synthesized guitar sound creates a signature musical backdrop for Chisholm’s warm, smoky tones. Chisholm’s command of the stage coupled with her devil-may-care attitude is only tempered by her love and appreciation for her art. What you won’t hear on the record are the stories she tells about her idols with such fondness and revery. But don’t make the mistake of assuming that Chisholm is simply echoing voices of the past. Listening to her updated interpretation of Smokey Robinson’s Tracks of My Tears brings to mind the phrase everything old is new again. Don’t miss Karla Chisholm’s timeless performance on “Live at Domenica’s”!

Is this ever going to be available on CD?

  2. I heard Karla on WPFW today and was blown away. Such a great vocalist and the duo/trio setting is a perfect setting for her voice and allows her to shine!
